Vietnam, Japan cooperate to intensify public management

The seminar was jointly organized by the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), attracting Japanese experts and Vietnamese managers and researchers.
At the meeting, participants discussed national management in the context of globalization, international cooperation in public management, and modernization of public finance and investment.
They agreed that to ensure transparency and fairness in public investment, countries should hold fair bidding and encourage the involvement of private sector and citizens in drafting the plan to implement public works.
Yoshiharu Tsuboi, a JICA senior expert said that the establishment of a strong government would create foundation for the development of the industry.
At the moment, in the context of globalization, a highly transparent government is required, he said.
