Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry on Saturday advised all Singaporeans to postpone non- essential travel to Egypt.

The advisory followed large scale protests in various parts of the country.

The ministry also advised Singaporeans currently in cities such as Alexandria and Suez to remain indoors if possible and avoid going to the places of the demonstrations.

It also asked Singaporeans now in Egypt to register themselves through its website so as to contact them and render consular assistance in case of emergencies.
