Over 2,500 newly graduated Afghan soldiers commissioned to army

More than 2,500 soldiers graduated from Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC) on Wednesday and were commissioned to Afghan National Army (ANA), General Aminullah Patyannai commander of KMTC said.
"After completion of two-month training, today over 2,500 soldiers graduated from Kabul Military Training Center and were commissioned to army to serve the nation," Patyanni told audience in graduation ceremony in KMTC complex east of capital city of Kabul.
The newly graduated soldiers are ready to be deployed to any part of the country to provide security for their people, he added.
According to Patyanni, the soldiers had received training under the U.S., NATO and Afghan trainers.
Currently, the strength of Afghan army or ANA is more than 164, 000 and the target is to reach 171,600 forces by October this year.
The process of handing over security charge from over 140,000 U. S. and NATO-led forces stationed in Afghanistan to Afghan forces begins in July this year and would be completed by the end of 2014.
