A bus overturned Monday on a national highway in Uruguay, killing three people and injuring 30, two of whom were seriously injured, the road police said.
The accident happened on the north-south Route 5 when the bus was traveling from Durazno to Paso de los Toros.
According to witnesses, the bus driver lost control as he turned to avoid a motorcycle in the same lane.
The injured were taken to hospitals in the city of Durazno, 188km north of the capital Montevideo.
The bus driver and his co-driver were only slightly injured.
