At least 13 killed, 11 injured in southern Mexico bus accident

At least 13 people were killed and 11 others injured in a major bus accident that occurred in the early hours of Friday in the southern Mexico state of Oaxaca, police sources said.
The bus was traveling in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, an area known as the Snail Shell, amid a heavy rain. The bus belonged to a firm called Cristobal Colon, and was transporting people from the Pacific port city of Salina Cruz to Coatzacoalcos in the Atlantic coast state of Veracruz.
Local media quoted officials as saying that some of the survivors had suffered full body burns.
