A boat sank in a lake near the Albanian capital Tirana Wednesday night, killing 16 people, including two children, police said Thursday.
The boat, overloaded with people celebrating the birthday of 5-year-old twins, sank in Lake Farka, about 10 km east of Tirana.
The bodies of the dead, including those of the twins, have been recovered from the lake. Four people survived the accident.
The 20 revelers had crowded onto the boat, which had a capacity of only seven.
