Poland is deeply concerned over the prolonging conflict in the Gaza Strip, the Polish Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
"In the context of the recent developments we are concerned by growing number of casualties among civilians. This question has been addressed by the Polish side during talks with the Israeli side," said the statement, quoted by Polish news agency PAP.
"As an EU member we are undertaking efforts leading to the end of fighting. We are declaring our readiness to provide the victims of the conflict with humanitarian aid," the ministry added.
Over 600 have been killed and more than 2,700 others wounded in Gaza since Israel launched airstrikes against Gaza on Dec. 27 and ground operations on Jan. 3 in retaliation for rocket attacks by Hamas militants.
