Israel kept the closure of crossing points into Gaza on Wednesday until a further notice, Palestinian officials said.
Raed Fatouh, head of good-entry committee, said the Israeli side told the independent committee that the commercial crossings into Gaza will remain closed for Wednesday and it was not clear when the crossings will open.
Crossings were shut down on Tuesday in response to rockets which Israel said Palestinian militants fired from the Gaza Strip into Western Negev and its southern territories.
The rockets and the subsequent closure of the crossings violated an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Islamic Hamas movement which controls the Gaza Strip.
According to the deal, Israel has to ease the siege on the coastal Strip in exchange for halting Palestinian rocket attacks and cross-border violence.
Since the ceasefire took effect on June 19, Hamas said Israel kept the limits on the cargo flow into Gaza despite the relative calmness.
