Exiled Hamas politburo chief Khaled Meshaal said here Monday that the Palestinian reconciliation should come after deep and genuine dialogue about all details, the official SANA news agency reported.

Meshaal made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of an Arab and international forum on the Right of Return held in Damascus which gathered political and intellectual personalities from 54 Arab and foreign countries.

"All parties have to approve and sign the agreement of reconciliation, in addition to building the Palestinian security apparatus in the West Bank and Gaza on national and professional bases," he added.

Meshaal also underlined the importance of Syria's efforts in reaching reconciliation among the Palestinian factions.

An Egyptian-hosted inter-Palestinian dialogue, which aims at reconciling Hamas and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement, was postponed earlier this month after Hamas withdrew one day before the meeting starts.

The talks were designated to settle Hamas-Fatah crisis which widened in June 2007 after Hamas routed pro-Abbas forces and took over the Gaza Strip.
