Kuwaiti Parliament on Tuesday decided to postpone its questioning session as the cabinet members walked out from the legislation to avert the accusation from opposition MPs, the official KUNA news agency reported.
The Parliament Speaker Jassem al-Kharafihad had suspended the regular session for 15 minutes after the key cabinet members withdrew from Abdullah Al-Salem hall one by one.
The speaker then cancelled the session on Wednesday, "as the government is not willing to attend."
Earlier last week, three Islamist lawmakers had accused the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammed al-Ahmad al-Sabah of malpractice, who allowed a Shiite Iranian cleric to enter Kuwait.
The lawmakers also accused the premier of corruption and wasting public funds, and called for a new head of government who are capable of running the state.
The incumbent Kuwaiti cabinet failed to tackle the repercussions of the global financial crisis and shore up the Kuwait Stock Exchange, the second largest among Arabs, which has shedding more than 60 percent since its historic high.
The cabinet has reportedly tendered the resignation to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah, who might reshuffle the cabinet or hold early elections in the near future.
