Jordan says killing of bin Laden to end unjust campaigns against Islam

Jordan said Monday the killing of Al- Qaida leader Osama bin Laden is likely to end unjust campaigns in the West against Islam, which calls for dialogue among nations, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Osama bin Laden, who had been regarded as terror kingpin whose activities has prompted Washington and allied nations to deploy over 140,000 troops in Afghanistan, was killed in Pakistan Sunday night.
A Jordanian official said Monday the killing of bin Laden is part of the global war.
The official, who preferred to be anonymous, said Jordan is looking forward to ending terrorism, which distorted and harmed legitimacy of the Arab causes, chief among which the Palestinian issue.
The source added that the international community should work seriously to resolve the Palestinian issue, which is being used as a justification for the terrorist operations by Al-Qaida.
The solution to the Palestinian issue should lead to the creation of an independent Palestinian state at the borders of 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital and should entail the acknowledgment of the right of the Palestinian refugees for return.
