A huge procession was staged Thursday at downtown Khartoum to affirm the Sudanese people's support to the Palestinians confronting an Israeli "aggression" on Gaza.
The demonstrators raised banners and shouted slogans reiterating solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Addressing the procession, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, the Speaker of the Sudanese National Assembly (parliament), lauded the steadfast confrontation of the martyrs and mujahideen, or fighters of holy war, in Gaza to "the arrogance and aggression of the Zionists and their allies."
Victory would be for Gaza, he said, stressing the necessity of the unity of the Islamic rank.
Sudanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs al-Samani Al-Wasila reminded with the historic stances of Sudan in supporting the Palestinian just cause, calling on the Palestinians to abandon difference to unite their rank.
The independent Palestinian State should be established, he urged.
Secretary General of the Sudanese Women Union Ustza Raja Hassan Khalifa also spoke at the procession, saying that the current "heinous aggression" on the Palestinian people in Gaza had revealed the lies of the so-called advocates of human rights.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese Bar Association and the Sudanese People's Campaign for Solidarity with the People of Gaza affirmed the groups' absolute solidarity with the Palestinian legitimate and patriotic resistance against "the Zionist aggression" on Gaza.
