Talk Radio 702 in Johannesburg reported his condition was described as fine. It is understood he was outside his home in Woodmead, northern Johannesburg, when the shooting occurred.
South African LOC spokesman Rich Mkhondo said, "All we know is that the unknown gunmen shot him outside his house in Johannesburg this morning (Tuesday). The motive is unknown and he was admitted to a hospital, where he is recovering well."
Seedat was appointed South Africa's LOC Chief Financial Officer in September 2006. He joined South Africa's 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee from the professional services firm, Deloitte &Touche in South Africa, where he served as a partner of 10 years.
