A member of the Delta State House of Assembly who was kidnapped last Sunday has been released.
Abel Oshevire, who represents Ughelli North II constituency in the Assembly, was abducted by three armed men as he walked towards his car after worshipping in the church.

Abduction is common in Nigeria. Over 300 foreigners have been seized in the Niger Delta since 2006. Almost all have been released unharmed after paying a ransom.
