The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Airline in Angola is planning to increase the number of flights between Dubai and Luanda from three to five a week, the company's representative in Angola Luis Manuel Berenguel announced here on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference, Luis Manuel Berenguel said the UAE Airline made a profit of 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2010, or the 23 consecutive years of profits, and the plan to increase the number of Dubai-Luanda flights was prompted by increasing number of passengers between the two destinations.
The representative said his company would introduce a Boeing 777-300 to its Dubai-Luanda flights due to the rising market demand, and now the company is using Airbus-300 and Boeing 777- 200s for the flights.
The new plane has eight private suites in the first class, 42 places in executive class and 304 in the economic cabin, he said.
He also commended the innovation works of the Luanda international airport and the inauguration of taxi services at the airport, which he said facilitated the movement of international passengers.
Currently the UAE Airline is operating in 66 countries and 111 cities.
