China's GDP growth in 2006 has been revised to 11.1 percent based on constant price, 0.4 percentage points higher than the preliminarily calculated growth rate, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported on Wednesday.

China's GDP in 2006 was revised to a total of 21.0871 trillion yuan (2.7746 trillion U.S. dollars) based on current price, up 146.4 billion yuan over the preliminarily calculated figure.

According to the revised figures, the added value of the primary industry grew 5.0 percent last year; that of secondary industry 13.0 percent; and that of tertiary industry 10.8 percent.

China's annual GDP calculation goes through three steps: preliminary calculation, preliminary verification and final verification.
