A super-large gold deposit, potentially worth more than 50 billion yuan, has been found in Yangshan Mountain, Wen county, in Gansu province, by soldiers from the People's Armed Police of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), according to PLA Daily.
It is the largest Carlin-type gold deposit in Asia, with gold resources amounting to 308 tons; and ranked sixth in the world.
The gold deposit is a milestone in the history of China's gold industry, giving China an super- large, independent gold deposit.
