The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Board appointed on Thursday Charles Li to succeed Paul Chow as HKEx chief executive and an ex-officio board member from January 16.
The 48-year-old Li is currently JP Morgan China's Chairman. The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has approved his appointment.
Meanwhile, HKEx Chief Operating Officer Gerald Greiner's contract will be renewed for a further three years when it expires February 13.
Head of Issuer Marketing Lawrence Fok will also continue his service until August 31, 2012, and Head of Legal Services - Chief Counsel Mary Kao until July 31 next year.
