The third super jumbo A380 delivered by Airbus to Singapore Airlines (SIA) arrived here Wednesday morning, SIA said.
The world's largest passenger aircraft was handed over to SIA at the Airbus Delivery Center in Toulouse, France on Tuesday and then flew to its new home. It arrived in Singapore at around 10:10 a.m. local time (0210 GMT), according to SIA.
With the addition of this third aircraft into its fleet, Singapore Airlines will commence A380 flights to London Heathrow airport on March 18. This will be the first-ever A380 commercial service to Europe.
SIA, Singapore's flag airline, is the world's first airline to fly the first A380, which launched commercial service between Singapore and Sydney in October last year.
The Airline has firm orders for a further 16 A380s and options on six more. Source:Xinhua
