The U.S. dollar slid to the upper 105 yen level early Thursday in Tokyo.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 105.88-93 yen, compared with 105.87-97 yen in New York and 106.15-16 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The euro traded at 1.5876-5881 dollars and 168.15-20 yen, against 1.5878-5888 and 168.14-24 yen in New York and 1.5822-5824 dollars and 167.96-168.00 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday.
