Vietnam expects more investment from Singapore: Deputy PM

Hai made the statement at the meeting with Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Teo Chee Hean, who is in Hanoi for attending the fourth meeting of defense ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Speaking at the meeting, Hai expressed his pleasure at Singapore's fast economic recovery from the global financial crisis.
He emphasized the fine development of the friendly relations and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries in many areas. The Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park is symbol of this successful cooperation.
Singapore has also become a popular destination for Vietnamese students, Hai said, noting that the cooperation in education and training between Vietnam and Singapore is developing well.
Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Teo Chee Hean at the meeting said he was impressed with the Vietnam's remarkable achievements in socioeconomic development in recent time.
Singapore is looking forward to seeing further effective implementation of cooperative agreements between the two countries, including agreements within the framework of the ASEAN, said Tao.
