Japanese auto maker Subaru will recall 2,266 of its Legacy and Outback models to fixed faulty hoses in the automatic transmissions, China's top quality watchdog said Monday.
The recall was ordered to correct problems with the cooler hose, which could crack and leak fluid in 2010 models. The leaks could set off the warning light and prevent the vehicle from running in extreme conditions, said a statement on the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ) website.p The car maker would check and replace the hose for free from June 14, according to the statement.
The recall involved 2,263 Legacy and three Outback vehicles produced from July 3 to October 2 last year.
Owners can contact Subaru on the hotline number 400-810-3666, or contact the GAQSIQ on 010-59799616.
Subaru recalled 70 Tribeca sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in China to repair door lock flaws in March and 1,135 Tribeca SUVs for control system flaws in January last year.
