The U.S. Apple company's new iPhone with faster Internet access will be available in Finland on July 11 as part of its global rollout, Finnish news agency STT said on Tuesday.
Apple's new iPhone, which runs on faster 3G networks and supports satellite navigation, will be launched by TeliaSonera, a Finnish-Swedish telecommunications operator, said the agency.
In Finland, tie-in sales under which customers have to buy an fixed-term airtime contract together with the handset, were allowed only for 3G mobiles, it said.
TeliaSonera fixed the launch date after Apple unveiled on Monday the new version of its popular iPhone gadget that sells for much lower prices than its predecessor.
As part of the new iPhone's global rollout, the device will be launched on July 11 in about two dozen countries including Australia, Britain, Germany, Canada and Japan. Source:Xinhua
