The U.S. dollar stood at the lower 107 yen level early Friday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 107.00-02 yen, compared with Thursday's 5 p.m. quotes of 107.04-14 yen in New York and 107.16-17 yen in Tokyo.

The euro traded at 1.5783-5788 dollars and 168.93-98 yen, against late Thursday's quotes of 1.5784-5794 dollars and 168.96-169.06 yen in New York and 1.5725-5727 dollars and 168.52-56 yen in Tokyo.
