China to launch two batches of book-entry T-bonds next week

China's Ministry of Finance announced Friday that two new batches of book-entry treasury bonds will be issued next week with a total value exceeding 32 billion yuan (4.7 billion U.S. dollars).
The first batch, with a total face value of 15 billion yuan, will have a term of 182 days. The issuing price will be 99.246 yuan per bill with a face value of 100 yuan, carrying an annual yield of 1.54 percent.
The second batch, with a total face value of 17.37 billion yuan, will have a term of 273 days. The issuing price will be 98.738 yuan with a face value of 100 yuan, and the annual yield will be 1.72 percent.
The three-day issue of both batches will start on May 17, with interest calculated from that day. The bonds will be traded on May 21.
