MSN China announced Tuesday that it will launch the new service "adCenter" on the Chinesemainland to help domestic companies expand in the overseas market.
The service will be based on Microsoft's search engine Bing, and will earn profits via selling English key words to Chinese firms. These key words, once purchased, appear on search results of Bing, MSN's portal websites, Wall Street Journal, and some famous social networking sites (SNS) like Facebook.
Currently, the "adCenter" service is in operation in the US, Canada, UK, France, and Singapore.
Liu Zhenyu, general manager of MSN China, said that the "adCenter" will use the rich global resources of the company and its partners to provide marketing services to Chinese companies and let more overseas customers know Chinese brands.
According to media reports, search-engine advertisement has become one of the fastest growing platforms worldwide. However, many believe it (service) has shortcomings.
