The 6th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the 6th China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (CABIS) officially opened on Tuesday at Nanning International Conference and Exhibition Center in Guangxi, Southwest China.

Li Keqiang, China's vice premier and a Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, announced the commencement of the 6th CAEXPO and delivered a speech at CABIS.

The organizing committee of the Expo told reporters that the 6th CAEXPO had installed up to 4,000 trading booths for the convenience of the exhibitors.

It is reported that by January, 2010, the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) will come into being, which have been one of the significant topics of the 6th CAEXPO. By then, 90 percent of trade products will achieve the zero tariff target and substantially open the service trade market.
