China Consumer Association released its list of the top 10 Chinese consumer complaints handled by consumer associations nationwide in the first half of 2010. Aviation, household appliances, Internet and vehicles are all in the top 10 list.
According to the Chinese Consumer Association, in the first half of 2010, consumer associations at all levels handled more than 300,000 consumer complaints and solved 283,425 cases, restoring economic losses of 275.16 million yuan for consumers.
Top 10 Chinese consumer complaints in the first half of 2010 are:
1. Agricultural production technology services complaints witnessed rapid growth. The service is not timely; fees are unreasonable and need to be improved.
2. There has been a significant increase of complaints of air transport services. Consumers have shown great dissatisfaction over flight delays.
3. There was also rapid growth in home theater complaints, and product quality cannot be ignored.
4. Complaints about Internet service also saw a new high. Network security issues must be resolved.
5. Counterfeit kitchen appliances are a prominent problem.
6. Car complaints have increased rapidly, and there is an urgent need to strengthen vehicle product safety.
7. Computer complaints are still high this year. Consumers found enterprises very often exaggerated their products' functions.
8. There was significant growth in telecommunications services complaints. There have especially been complaints about a number of unauthorized value-added services fees.
9. There was a significant increase in complaints about health care products as many enterprises brag about the products benefits.
10. There have been more and more counterfeit products and an increasing amount of fraud targeted at consumers.
