Beijing to host World Broadcaster Meeting for 2008 Games |

The third World Broadcaster Meetingfor the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will be held here in September,the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) said on Wednesday.
Sun Weijia, director of BOCOG Media Operations department, saidthe meeting will be held in Beijing from September 23-29, which isgoing to see more than 300 delegates of radio and television rights-holding broadcasters from around the world.
"Beijing Olympic Broadcasting Co. Ltd (BOB) will brief delegates on broadcasting production plan while BOCOG will focus on competition, stadia, transportation, accommodation, technical support, media operations, etc.," said Sun.
BOB, as the host broadcaster, is responsible for producing television and radio signals of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Some 16,000 broadcasters from more than 200 broadcasting organizations will cover the Beijing Games.
The previous two versions of the meeting were held in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
