Egyptian fencer black-carded in All African Games |

Egyptian fencer Tamer Tahoun was black-carded for disputing referee's ruling in the men's fencing group final won by Tunisia at the All African Games in Algiers on Sunday.
Tahoun lost temper when he protested in vain against the referee's decision which gave Tunisia a 41-40 lead in the last round of the final.
He then stomped to the courtside and smashed a chair before the referee shown him a black card to end the contest in favor of Tunisia.
Tahoun and his indignant teammates became foul-mouthed pouring scorn and curses in Arabic on the Romanian referee who seemed unable to understand what they were yelling.
A mayhem followed in consequence where the Egyptian fencers attempted to assault the referee before their coaches pushed them away.
Egypt could draw some consolation from the weightlifting competitions where they captured two golds respectively in the men's 56kg and 62kg . The other two golds up for grabs went to Nigeria who triumphed in women's 48kg and 52kg.
Nigeria also won the gold of the badminton group competition where they brushed aside South Africa in the final.
South Africa made a clean sweeping in the women's 80km road race as they finished in the top three.
