Ljubicic beats Troicki to enter 3rd round at China Open

Croatian Ivan Ljubicic, ranked 12 in the world, eliminated Viktor Troicki of Serbia 6-1, 6-1 to enter the next round of China Open men's singles in Beijing on Wednesday.

The first set only took Ljubicic, the 4th seed of China Open, 34 minutes to beat Troicki overwhelmingly 6-1. Troicki did not win a game in the first 20 minutes as he was behind his opponent 0-5.

Though Troicki saved his serve in the sixth game, he could not retrieve the situation.

Troicki tried hard to find his rhythm in the second set that he saved his serve in the first game. But after that the Croat totally took the control of the match by winning the second set 6-1.

"It was good for me", said Ljubicic, "It was an easy game. Troicki made some mistakes due to the pressure I made."

Ljubicic may encounter the 5th seed Baghdatis in the next round, "The record against Baghdatis is not good. I lost all the three matches with him", said Ljubicic, "I hope this time can be a turning point.
