Denmark coach Kenneth Heiner-Moller said on Friday that New Zealand, who lost 5-0 to Brazil in the FIFA Women's World Cup Group D opener, was still a tough opponent.
"New Zealand is a great team which is not easy to beat," Heiner-Moller told a pre-match press conference.
Denmark lost 3-2 to hosts China in their Group D opener on Wednesday, which forced the European soccer giant into the corner.
"We watched the video of the Brazil-New Zealand game. I must say it's not an easy task for us in the New Zealand match," he said.
"New Zealand is a team with fighting spirit and its players can run fast from the start to the end," he noted.
"We must make full preparation for the match. We need a win to keep our hope alive," he added.
The Dane also admitted that after losing the crucial game against China, the fate of Denmark in the group was not fully in their hands.
According to the latest FIFA women's ranking in June, Denmark stood at sixth, Brazil at eighth, China 11th and New Zealand 23rd.
On Saturday, Denmark will take on New Zealand while China will meet Athens Olympics runners-up Brazil in their second round group matches.
Predicting the China-Brazil game, Heiner-Moller said, "It will be an open match. The two teams play different style of football."
