Li Yang flied 92 meters in the second jump, the longest result during the whole event, but his first jump, 89 meters, dragged himfrom challenging Tian.
"Each of our three medalists has the ability to win the Gold, it depends on our condition and performance in today's event," Tian said.
Tian achieved the fourth place in the 10th National Winter Games. Before the Winter Games, Tian and other national players ofski jumping had participated a train in Europe.
"We admire the European ski jumpers for they can continue their training on ski jumping track in summer season," Tian told Xinhua.
The head coach of China's national team of ski jumping Piao Xuefeng said that compared with foreign ski jumpers, Chinese have little physical disparity.
"The only obstacle which disturbs Chinese improvements is the lack of a ski jumping course available in summer season," Piao said.
"There is good news for a summer course has been under construction in Changchun," he added.
