Brazilian volleyball star Sheila will have her first meeting on Monday with the coach of the Olympics-bound national team.
The player has been in Italy where she helped her team win the Italian championship.
After having won the Italian championship with Scavolini Pesaro, the athlete spent a couple days of vacation with her family sorting out some personal issues. The rest of the national volleyball team is already in Rio de Janeiro where they have been training. This will be her first participation on the national team in the Olympics.
"When I come back to Brazil there are always so many people to see and so little time to see everyone. However, these last couple days of vacation were well needed in order to re-energize and join the team with a full tank of gas. This year will be very special for all of us. We want the Olympic gold, no matter what it takes," said the player.
Sheila's future with club teams is uncertain.
The Italian team which she has played for over the last four years has showed interest in resigning her. However, she has received many other offers, including teams from Brazil, Turkey, Russia and other Italian teams.
