In their debut in Sao Paulo, Brazil beat Uruguay 38-13 in the men's handbal of the Pan-American Championship at the Milton Olaio Filho Municipal Gymnasium on Tuesday.
At the championship, Brazil is in group B along side Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
During the opening match, the Brazilians were dominant as they opened up an early 17-7 lead. They attacked the goal more often, with 26 times against 16 for the Uruguayans.
Brazil will play against Cuban on Thursday while Uruguay will play Cuban on Wednesday.
In group A, Argentina defeated Chile 36-25 on Tuesday.
Yet to play on the first day, Canada will face off against Greenland.
