Nigeria's quartet of Godday James, Akeobunbu Ikwakor, Gbenga Adeleye and Noah Aku failed to make the World Cop 16 when they competed in a qualifier for the Beijing Olympics in Tunisia over the weekend.

Nigeria's hope of justifying huge government investment in the Beijing Games with medals from the nation's four relay teams was stunned as the 4x400 meters team - the most consistent of the relay teams - fell in Tunis, Tunisia.

Their men's 4x100 meters and women's 4x400 meters teams have already qualified.
