Li Mingzhu to coach Chinese figure skating team

China figure skating will sign Li Mingzhu as women's coach on a four-year deal, a top official of China winter sports said on Sunday.

Zhao Yinggang, director of China's Winter Sports Administrative Center, said that Li had accepted a four year contract with the Chinese Skating Federation to coach the Chinese 2014 Olympic team.

"Negotiations have been going on since last year and I believe that we will formally sign the contract with Li next month." said Zhao.

No financial details were disclosed.

Li Mingzhu is the former coach of world champion and two-time Olympic bronze medalist Chen Lu. She worked at East West Ice Palace in Artesia, California before she left for China on July 14.
