Construction of Olympics media center in Sochi kicks off

Construction of the main Olympics media center started in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, where the 2014 Winter Games will be taking place, RBC news agency reported on Thursday.

The media center includes an eight-story three-star hotel for 600 visitors, a restaurant for 150 people, a business center and conference hall. The hotel will include four rooms for guests with disabilities.

Construction work has been conducting by a Krasnodar regional company. It is planned to be completed in 2013.

After the Games, the complex will be redesigned into a shopping mall.
