Roger Federer has confirmed he will play this week's Paris Masters Series tournament, reports said in Paris on Monday.
Federer, who has lost his world No. 1 ranking to Spaniard Rafael Nadal, has hinted earlier to pull out of the event to save energy for the Masters Cup in Shanghai.
But the director of the Paris tournament, Jean-Francois Caujolle, confirmed on Monday that the Swiss star would compete.
