Kenya's Augustine Choge beat a strong field to win the men's 800 meters at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix here on Sunday.

Choge clocked 1:45.10 for the win.

Mbulaeni Mulaudzi of South Africa, winner in Berlin 2009, was second in 1:45.68.

Olympic gold medalist Wilfred Bungei of Kenya was fifth.
