China's rising basketball star Yi Jianlian has started writing a blog (blog.sina.com.cn/yijianlian), attracting more than 100,000 page views in just one day.
The company has also launched Yi's official website, which includes interviews, pictures, videos and all of his statistics.
The popular New Jersey Nets forward also has a new fan club where his supporters have chances to win shirts, shoes and star cards bearing Yi's signature.
Since he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks as the sixth overall pick last year, Yi has followed in the footsteps of the Houston Rockets all-star center Yao Ming in his stardom.
His popularity seemed to reach new heights after he was traded to New Jersey last month, an area boasting a much bigger Chinese community than Milwaukee.
