China lost its NBA star Yi Jianlian as well as the match against Slovenia during the last group game of the Stankovic Continental Cup on Friday in Liuzhou, Guangxi province.

Phoenix Suns' guard Goran Dragic had a triple double to inspire Slovenia to a 75-71win and a match-up with Australia in Sunday's final.

China will meet winless Iran in the third-place playoff.

Without injured Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, Washington Wizards' forward Yihad taken over the role as team leader and scored 11 points in the first quarter.

But he hurt his right arm in the second half and stayed on the bench for the remainder of the game. It is not known if he will play on Sunday.

The Stankovic Cup is China's final tune-up before the Turkey World Championship.
