Argentine president gives flag to Ginobili for Olympics
Argentine president Cristina Fernandez gave Friday the country's flag to basketball player Emanuel Ginobili who will lead the delegation for the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008.
Hansen denied berth in 200m breaststroke
Former world record-holder Brendan Hansen was denied a 200m breaststroke berth on the U.S. team for the Beijing Games on Thursday by training partners Scott Spann and Eric Shanteau.

Spanish basketball star Pau Gasol is looking forward to working with his former coach and leading his country's attempt to win a basketball gold medal in the Beijing Olympic Games, the Spanish sports newspaper Diario AS reported Friday.

  The FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007 will be held in China from September 10 to 30, 2007.
  The 24th Universiade Bangkok 2007 will be held from Aug. 8 to 18. A total of 236 gold medals will be produced.
