Myanmar's Internet link continued to meet with interruption for more than 10 days since late October running at a slow speed or intermittently or even totally stopping for most of the time.
The Myanmar teleport said it is experiencing an external cyber attack.
It is the second external cyber attack through the DDOS system (Distributed Denial-of-Service) that Myanmar is encountering, the Myanmar service provider clarified, saying that the first attack was on Feb. 1, 2010 when the Internet link service of Myanmar's Yatanarpon Teleport Company was so struck.
The Internet failure has been troubling subscribers nationwide, especially in the Yangon commercial city.
Due to the interruption of the Internet link, local and foreign websites and e-mails could not be opened, reflected the public.
Services dealing with heathcare, hotel, airline and media as well as IT companies and private hospitals using Internet were reportedly affected.
So many Internet cafes closed down their businesses in the city currently.
