Venezuela and China will exhibit in Caracas their industrial technology development on June 18-21, Venezuela's commerce ministry said on Tuesday.

The event is among the activities of the "China-Venezuela industrial expo 2009." Both countries will showcase their progress in the field, including the most advanced industrial technologies in cars, computers, electrical appliances and construction machines, the ministry said in a communique.

It also stressed the need to boost commercial ties between the two countries. Venezuela has become one of China's five main commercial partners in Latin America.

Venezuela and China also share an economic fund of some 12 billion U.S. dollars which was set up in 2007 to boost the development of the two nations.
