Guinness record refreshed in one-year anniversary of Beijing Olympics
|
The Guinness world record for the number of people practicing Taiji, or martial arts shadow boxing, together was broken here on Saturday when China marked the first anniversary of the Beijing Olympics.
A total of 33,996 people from all walks of life gathered at the Olympic area between the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, the two symbols of the Games, in the morning and practicing Taiji together in the drizzle to mark the one-year anniversary of the Beijing Olympics.
