Top ten happiest places on Earth
|
On August 3, the US website "The Christian Science Monitor" unveiled the top ten happiest places on Earth from a survey conducted by the New Economics Foundation. The survey looked at 143 countries that are home to 99 per cent of the world's population and devised an equation that weighs life expectancy and people's happiness against their environmental impact.
No 1. Costa Rica
Among the total 143 countries surveyed, Costa Rica stands out for the highest levels of reported life satisfaction, a long life expectancy of 78.5 years and 99 percent of its energy coming from renewable sources.
