Preparation work for the Expo 2010 Shanghai is being carried out smoothly according to plan. At present, a total of 241 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the Expo, and over 7.5 million tickets have been sold.

As the Expo's two biggest innovation highlights, the "Urban Best Practices Area" and "Expo 2010 Shanghai Online" projects are being actively promoted. The "Better City, Better Life" theme of the Expo 2010 Shanghai comprises three key aspects: culture, science and technology, and development, said Zhu Yonglei, vice director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination at an informal press conference organized by the China Journalist Association on September 17.
