An Influenza A/H1N1 patient who was admitted to a hospital in Macao was in critical condition, Macao's Health Bureau said on Thursday.

By far, only two patients who tested positive for the virus were receiving medical treatments at local hospitals and one of them was seriously ill while the other one's health condition remained stable, according to the Bureau.

For the time being, Macao's pandemic alert level stayed at phase six, and no collective flu outbreak were recorded at local schools.

The bureau has previously announced that it will start inoculating local residents with A/H1N1 flu vaccines early next year. Local medical staff and high-risk group, including children, old people and patients with chronic illness, will be firstly inoculated.

The first batch of the vaccines ordered by the bureau was expected to be delivered to Macao in November 2009.
