In order to have sufficient energy for both working and watching World Cup football games, many white collar workers choose to book hour rooms together in a hotel to sneak in enough sleeping time.

As the World Cup has entered the knockout round, many matches are held in latter half of the night according to Beijing time. Many football fans can barely deal with their work in the morning. However, in the afternoon, they cannot help but feel sleepy.

A man surnamed Zhong, a CFO in a foreign trade corporation, told the reporter, "they wash their faces with the cold water every half hour in the afternoon, but cannot help but doze off."

Zhong also said that at least ten employees have suffered from this "World Cup lethargy" in his department.

"We can't be like this any more, because much work is waiting for us to complete. Therefore, my work mates and I decided to take a nap during the lunch time in the hour rooms of a hotel everyday," a man surnamed Gong said.

In this way, they can not only watch the games on time, but also be invigorated at work.

"We share the hour room at noon and each person needs to pay only 10 yuan. After the short rest, we are more efficient at work in the afternoon," Gong said.
